Mission: The SVSEF XC Gold Team aims to achieve excellence in skiing at the national and international level while promoting and fostering a vibrant and active cross-country ski culture at home in Sun Valley.
About the XC Gold Team: A program created and primarily funded by the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation (SVSEF), the XC Gold Team is entering its 12th year of existence in the Wood River Valley. Composed of a group of the nation’s best post-collegiate athletes, the Gold Team trains year round in the mountains of Idaho, training sites across the US and snow sites around the world. Each athlete has his or her own goals for success on the SuperTour, World Cup and U23 World circuit, and as a team, we push each other every day to universally attain those goals.
SVSEF is a registered 501 (c) 3 nonprofit, and as a beneficiary of its fundraising, XC Gold Team strives to realize the foundation’s vision and mission of creating the nation’s most successful ski culture. In addition to our training and racing, Gold Team members contribute to the ski community by local outreach in the form of ski clinics, SVSEF junior team mentorship and participation with local and national sports advocacy non-profits. Stay tuned here for opportunities to join us.
